Anne T and her Shetland Pony, Polo.

Announced on Americandrivingsociety.org:
Junior Driver, Winner of ADT Series: 16 yr old Anne T. of Oregon, got her Shetland Pony, Polo, 6 yrs ago when she was 10 yrs old.  Although she loved riding him, she knew she would outgrow him so she decided to learn to drive.  She has shown him in 4-H and OHSET (Oregon High School Equestrian Teams) shows but this was her first experience in ADT's.  She placed 4th in her very first ADT, 2nd in her second and 1st in her third, besting 22 adult drivers.  All of which accounted for her taking 2nd place in our cumulative points awards at the end of the series beating out 22 other (and older) competitors in the Training Division. " She had her pick of several prizes and I was very pleased to see her walk up to the table and choose the membership in the ADS."  Said Frances Bowersock, one of the organizers of the series.

Activity and Insurance (Jan. 21, 2008)

In order for our District Chairs to have a better handle on what teams are doing and what they can and can't do, consider this as a check to see if a function needs insurance or you need to check with the State.

It is simple and when a team wants to have a clinic, show, fun day.......you can be sure it is covered or check to see if it needs to be covered.

Remember:

If the OHSET name, logo or banner is used in any event, it needs insurance

If the function is open to the public and is an "at will" community event, no mention of OHSET, anyone can attend and there is no need for insurance.

Hope this is helpful and eliminates doubts. Printable Form: Team Activity Form
